Parliament House

Our visit to Parliament House. Our first stop is a role play of the Senate. We sat in 3 sections the Government, the Opposition and the Political Independents. Nathanael played the role of the usher of the black rod, Aaron played the role of the Clerk and Stuart played the role of the President. We elected Daniel to be the leader of the Government in the Senate. We also elected Rebecca to play the leader of the Opposition in the Senate. We role played trying to pass a Free Wifi Bill. This Bill was to make free wifi available on public transport to hopefully influence more people to use public transport. We debated the Bill and students did a great job playing their roles. Students held a vote to see if the Bill would be read a second time.

Prefects

Congratulations to Ben, Noah, Rebekah and Rhiannon who are our new prefects from 5/6 S. I'm sure you will do an amazing job. Congratulations to all the other applicants you are all amazing leaders. This might be something you are interesting in applying for next year 4/5F :-)

Cricket T20

It was great to see Thor on Friday morning at our assembly! Cricket T20 is starting on Monday afternoons. Its a great after school activity if you can fit it into your schedule! Come see me if you missed out on a note!
