Parliament House

Our visit to Parliament House.

Our first stop is a role play of the Senate. We sat in 3 sections the Government, the Opposition and the Political Independents.

Nathanael played the role of the usher of the black rod, Aaron played the role of the Clerk and Stuart played the role of the President. We elected Daniel to be the leader of the Government in the Senate. We also elected Rebecca to play the leader of the Opposition in the Senate.

We role played trying to pass a Free Wifi Bill. This Bill was to make free wifi available on public transport to hopefully influence more people to use public transport. We debated the Bill and students did a great job playing their roles. Students held a vote to see if the Bill would be read a second time.
